Terms and conditions of use

iRecord Soil is operated by the NERC soils team at the Centre for Ecology & Hydrology (CEH) and partners at the British Geological Survey (BGS). NERC - the Natural Environmental Research Council - is the driving force of investment in environmental science in the UK. NERC advances the frontier of environmental science by commissioning new research, infrastructure and training that delivers valuable scientific breakthroughs. CEH and BGS are both NERC funded research centres. iRecord Soil is one of a suite of tools freely available for environmental monitoring. Other tools can be found at the Biological Records Centre (BRC). Established in 1964, BRC provides a national focus in the UK for terrestrial and freshwater species recording.

CEH and BGS are part of NERC, one of nine partners within UK Research and Innovation
